Hello again. I hope that all is well with you all. I'm back with another post about my life at home. With me working 50+ hours a week, juggling a social life (or the lack thereof) and trying to eat right and workout, I have been so busy. So this past weekend I took it upon myself to enjoy my work-free weekend.
I relaxed, spent time with friends, and enjoyed 2 cookouts (BBQs). It was a weekend for the books. And not because it was filled with partying or anything, but because I got to spend time with friends and family with no interruptions.
Friday, I spent time with my friends. We ordered crabs, crab legs and shrimp. It was the perfect way to start off the summer season. Technically it's not summer, but once late May/ early June hits in the DMV it might as well be. The humidity was on fleek this past weekend. But it was nice to eat some crabs (my favorite seafood) with my girls and my brother from another Carl.
Saturday, I spent my time with friends again. My friend Jazmine had a cookout at her house and we enjoyed food, drinks, music and played cards. I can't say enough how nice it was just to relax and not think about work. Work has really been consuming my life lately and I need to have more weekends like this past one.
Sunday, I went to my little cousin's graduation cookout. She was the salutatorian of her class and we are all so proud of her. I was having such a good time with my family that I forgot to get a picture with the graduate. But its always a good time when you forget to take pictures. At least that's what I tell myself, ha.
I hope that you all have enjoyed another look into my local travels and activities. As always, there will be pictures below for you all to enjoy. See you in my next post!
Peace&Love,
Janisha
