I went with my friend Tamika and her family. We purchased tickets for the Fan Experience ahead of time. They were also selling tickets at the event. We got to take a bunch of pictures with all different types of objects that represented our favorite team. Because I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan and we were in Texas the lines to take pics with the Cowboys items were long. So I didn't take a picture with every item, but I did get some good ones.
I've been to Houston before, you can read about it in this post. But it was cool going downtown and experiencing the unique look of Downtown Houston while they had all the Super Bowl festivities going on.
The Fan Experience was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. There was a lot to see. The history of the Super Bowl, The Lombardi trophy, Super Bowl rings. There were many players from a lot of different teams there singing autographs and meeting fans. Like I said before, it was a football fan's wildest dreams.
Tamika's mom is a Redskins fan so we got to meet Jordan Reed and get him to sign some stuff for us. I gave my signed booked to my Gramps, he loves the Skins and Jordan Reed. He was really happy about that. Because there was so much to do we didn't get to do every little thing, but I feel like we did just enough.
The day before the Fan Experience(I know this is backwards lol) we went to Pappadeaux restaurant. Listennnnn, I have been waiting to go to this restaurant for about a year. My mom went to Dallas last summer and she told me how good it was. She was not lying! Its probably one of my favorite "out of town" restaurants. Soooo good. I had spring rolls for an appetizer, shrimp and grits for my entree and a Swampthing drink. I truly recommend going to Pappadeaux if you have the chance.
That's all folks. Short and sweet. I hope you enjoyed this post about my trip to Houston for Super Bowl weekend. Talk to you soon!
Peace & Love,
Janisha
